MMC Cheerleading
The MMC Cheerleading program is open to all Middleborough youth between the grades of Kindergarten through 8th grade. This is a competitive group who competes in the OCYCA. It is intended to be fulfilling, nonjudgmental and provide top of the line fun for all involved.
Ages
Appropriate ages for cheerleading is 3rd through 8th grade. Flag Cheer, a separate Registration, is for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. The squads are split up into the following teams:
Mites Cheer: 3rd/4th Grade
Peewees Cheer: 5th/6th Grade
Midgets Cheer: 7th/8th Grade
When
Practices will start at the end of August. More information to follow. Sideline cheer practices twice a week and Competition team practices three days a week mandatory attendance for Competition team
The competitive Cheerleading season is from August to November
Where
Outdoor practice will be held at Pierce field August - October
Indoor practice will be held inside the MECC gym October and November
Practices
Practice is twice a week August -October. Practices will then move indoors. Coaches will notify where and when
Games
Games will be on Sundays at Battis Field, located at 26 Jackson Street. Away games will be at various locations, within reasonable distance.
Competition dates will be updated on website and will be put out by each squads coach when known by program.
Uniforms
Uniforms items provided will be:
Long Sleeved uniform top
Uniform Skirt
The uniform will be returned at the end of season. A $180 check deposit will be required at uniform hand out and will be cashed if uniform is lost or ruined or not returned
1 Sideline Bow an additional $10
1 COMP ONLY bow an additional $10
Every athlete receives a warm up suit for sideline games to be worn at colder or wet games. The warm up will be returned at the end of the season. If warm up suit is ruined or lost it will be an additional $100 fee. We will do trades for sizing up
Pom poms will be handed out before every game and will be returned and sanitized after every game.
An additional $20 will be required for the bus to the competition for Reggie lewis center. This is mandatory all athletes must take the bus to this event. Parents and guardians are also welcome to take the bus and pay an additional $20 to ride
Each family will be responsible to order their cheerleader their sneakers and white crew socks from the links shared below. They can be purchased in womens and youth off Amazon.com please allow ample time for shipping and try on shoes before practice starts!

Cost: $250
All cheerleaders must register for Sideline Cheer. Once we can see what we have for numbers for teams the competition teams will be determined based off commitment and ability to execute a competitive cheerleading routine including tumbling and stunting.

Competition cheerleaders must attend the competition routine camp at the end of August, 3 nights a week practice commitment, attendance to all November competitions and all games. This will cost an additional $150 in comp fees. If this is NOT something you realistically can commit to for time everyone is welcome to do sideline cheer!
